Very cool. Worth the wait. Just a suggestion but if you post a different version without the tone in the background you may please more less-alternative listeners. Don’t get me wrong I like it. Had my head bouncing.

Yah, I considered that, and might mixdown a version without the drone. However, I’ll have to do something about the second drop out. I spose it’d be as easy as extending the drums through it.

Listened to it again. And I think the thing I like most is the Warped horns. Combined with the bass it has a certain swing to it. If you’re worried about keeping it interesting while removing the stretched sample then I say more horns. Maybe fade the horns in at the second drop out? Or somehow slow the stretched sample down to a stop. Just some suggestions. Hope they help.

Tight. I do have to agree the drone must go, but I do like the modulation at around 2:30 where it goes high. Very nice touch.

If you fix the drone ( I recommend just making it more interesting, like randomly apply effects to it and stuff) then this would be my favorite mix. I love the bassline, and the concept is very awesome.

Great tune, man … I love how the sax/horn sample comes in like a transmission from an old-time jazz song. The crunchy beats were unique. About the drone - when I first heard it, I thought "cool!", then it got a little annoying, but as it quieted down it was a nice backing to the rest of the tune. Maybe just fade it down a little earlier. I love how it changes pitch, too!

A sample of the word ‘no’ time-stretched out to the full length of the track backed by a filtered bass line, slightly giltchy drums, and some other tweaked samples from the original. HONEST MAN - I KINDA LIKE IT
