You’re definitely onto something here. I’d say drop the levels of your scratching just beneath the instrumental, and space out the verses of a capella to feature the scratching, rather than over the rap. Are you using vinyl to scratch? If not, I’d say load up the beat into a scratch pad and scratch that instead.
