If I were to hazard a guess, it is a lack of multitrack stems. I don’t think you have any. I had to use AI to decompose the track I worked with, and most folks don’t know how to do that.

Most DAWs nowadays have the facility
to extract stems as well as Ai apps like Suno etc,

i’m so sorry you’ve been left behind this many times! i honestly think it is merely coincidence, just like whoever we pull is randomly generated. the stems you’ve uploaded are awesome! it always helps to have more. but i don’t think that is it. i hope you’ll continue to participate because your music is amazing.

Yes I also believe it is a coincidence and I understand the need to upload stems, which I am now able to do. I’ve got to say though that when doing past Secret Mixters I’ve often encountered only full tracks to mix and not had a problem.

Yes, I have also had no issue remixing fully mixed tracks, I guess it is easier for some folks than others, depending on your production style. i did just hear back from your assignment and they apologize that they were late and that they did complete their mix. we’re just going through the logistics of uploading and tagging since i already pulled the upload form. so good things come to those who wait, you’re going to get two remixes!

Thanks Snowflake. I’m relieved it wasn’t down to me not uploading stems.
My last six uploads come with the stems, as will all future songs, time permitting I’ll go back through my past songs and upload those stems.

I’m happy to see you did get a remix from your secret mixter, but it never hurts to get one from the Admiral ;)
I have to address that with silent licenses (the vocals/stems people buy, like from Splice), there aren’t allowances for stem-extraction.
Rewob, you know better than me: can you at least note in your description that you have an exclusive license to a stem/pell? I know you can’t identify the artist or source with most of them.
