I am so glad you have embraced the potential of AI. This maybe represents the first CC Mixter remix to develop a sample this way. I have been using a variety of AI tools over the last 6 months, its a new era.

I love that you begin with the respect of acknoledging the original, then the record scratch to the new.

Nicely done

Thank you for you thoughts, I appreciate that very much! And I’m glad you liked this song. AI is fascinating, no doubt about it.

I think I am a rather pop guy, so I’m very glad to be remixed ROCK!
And this song ROCKS!

I’m proud those lyrics found a new home in a well produced track, and happy that happens with a perfect singing voice! Synth V claims AI, yet voices in Synth V are real persons, who sing whole sentences and then sing la la la sa sa sa ta ta ta etc in every note and in some expression. Then when I write “talassa” and play a few notes on the keyboard, those syllabes are connected by the software with a pitch time history that is learnt by the AI from their original whole sentence singing (since this pitch time history is very different from keyboard). So AI is there, but used intelligently and along with rational software and real voice providers. I would have liked to be a voice provider when I was young!!!

You have no idea how happy I am you liked this, I was so nervous to upload it.

Synth V is a fantastic tool, and I’m an old guy, but learning new tricks like figuring it out was a joyful learning curve. Most of my tweaking and restructuring the melody of the vocals to fit took forever to get just right. I loved your words, and wanted to do them justice!

Wow! What a transformation of Carosone’s song. It sounds great. Thanks for sharing about your process too — very interesting. Bravo on a creative approach to the secret mixter. Thanks for being part of this very special ccMixter event.

Very interesting approach.
I love the backtrack very much.

Maybe I must stop resisting to use AI tools in music. For me it is still kind of a steal. The AIs have been trained based on existing singers and songwriters output and probably are not getting attributed.

Might just be me and my change resisting mind.

Thank you, the backtrack was fun to put together, though it was actually a more simple approach than I usually do, lol I wanted quick and dirty so I could focus on the AI melody development.
As for the attribution of the singers that created the voices for the sound, at least in Synth V, I believe the licensing of the product includes the attribution of the singers, but I’m unsure if they are even using their real names, or even their full names, to be honest. That’s why I haven’t added that to my song description. It’s a fair and good point!

Inspiring! I love how you created this song and shared your process. So cool that you and Carosone have both been experimenting with AI. Amazing. Great mix!

I’m glad you like this song. As I said to Carosone, I was very nervous about uploading this song because I was very unsure if he would like it, and of course whether the community would accept it.

this is INCREDIBLE! conceptually to execution. wow, a monster track!!! wonderful to read how you’re embracing the power behind AI and music, I’m learning a bit myself (thanks Loveshadow!) and you’ve inspired me with this powerful track. I can see why it took you the full three weeks, this is a full on rock hit. The intro and outro sections make it extra personal and special.

One ask, stems please???? I want to rock out to you!!!

Outstanding remix, Whitewolf!
It is a sign of the times that AI can produce such an amazing work, though the *real* intelligence is what gives it a soul!
The development you gave this remix shines through, certainly inspirational if not an anthem :)

Thanks! Real people need to shine through, no denying that. As I said below, I’m rethinking my use of AI. Not as the main attraction, though in a pinch ok, but as background.

Ignoring the AI aspect for a moment - I just think this sounds really good! Re the AI this is extremely interesting - I must look into it . Excellent track and very well produced.

Glad you liked the song! I’ll be the first to admit, AI does have it’s uses in music, in my humble opinion. However, I’m beginning to think it’s better as a tool rather than as a main attraction. I might consider, for example, using it to provide a backing vocal to a real person singer, or just using it to add to my production values behind the scenes. Lots to explore, though!
