I’m seeing closing time, one guy in the semi-dark with a drum machine and a keyboard and just enough hope to keep going. Sad and beautiful.

i agree with Speck. this has a powerful pre-rehab feel as the performer, 10 drinks down, surveys his audience of two customers at closing time. very good idea & thanks to colab for the evans-esque piano.

Hiya and thanks for using my upload!
I like what you’ve done with the piano - matches PM’s vocals well. My only nag are that a bass would have been nice to tie the elements together - I found myself waiting for one to enter. Thanks again for using the piano. |

Colab I couldn’t agree with you more on the bass. I kept adding various bass elements but couldn’t find a good fit for any of them, and in fact felt like I was ruining the “live” vibe I was going for. I hope at a certain point to go back to it and maybe I can find that perfect fit… Thank you for providing the inspiration when you uploaded that beautiful piece!

Really like the angular tension between PM’s vox and the piano; just when you think it’s going to veer too far off, it resolves juust enough to keep the listener glued. I might’ve wanted to match the drums’ reverb to the piano a little more closely, but that’s just a minor nitpick. I also agree with PM and Speck about the mood/imagery..
