Seriously, how do you hear so many parts? The end is a remarkable example of this. duckett and timberman beat me to the Joni comparison (though, just yesterday texasradiofish’s remix of your “Slippin’ and Slidin’” made me think of her… (BTW, Joni Mitchell is one of my all-time favorite musicians/ vocalists.) Wonderful.

As for harmonies, I spent a lot of time listening to, and singing along with, The Roches. Another HUGE influence. They don’t just do harmonies — they do interlocking melodies or something… I don’t know what exactly, but they are awesome!

I have grown quite fond of your awe-inspiring tonal patterns and this is no exception. This is my fifth listen and I am trying to put to words what I am hearing. It’s just stunning!! You also complimented the entire track with that wonderful bass line.
