This mix reflects Speck’s work so good. So many layers of sounds. Even though it is not that melodic it represents a world of music.

I was so excited to draw Speck. Their crates are an experimentalist’s dream. This one is definitely one of my noise/sound poem ones. Speck will be unsurprised by that once they know I drew them! Hopefully, it invokes the dreamscape and world of sound I felt in making it.

You bring so much of Speck’s experimental style into this mix, and the placement of Sackjo’s white cube track is just right. Well done!

It’s so easy to apply my production style to Speck’s work! The hard part was digging through the crates and deciding what to use. There’s SO MUCH! And thank you for the compliment about the use of Sackjo’s pell. It was the perfect one to use for the vibe I was feeling.

Wow! When I saw you had drawn me I was excited. I’m quite fond of the youness of your sound/stlye. I still listened to the other uploads in chronological order first, delayed gratification thing I guess (or maybe OCD). Anyway, now that I’m here, like I said, Wow! I’m impressed, and gratified, and honored. You used a lot of sounds in a very cohesive manner. And even though you definitely had your way with them I can still hear ‘me’.
Thank you, I love it. And the vocals are perfect. |

I was anxiously awaiting to see what you thought! You have the best crates to dig through for a weirdo like me. :) I had such a blast exploring your stuff again and putting this together. I’m really glad you enjoyed this and saw what I was going for. Thank you so much for the kind words!

I especially like how the noisy cymbal chokes sound and function in the greater atmospherics.

The avante-garde deconstructed jazz elements and spoken word immediately drew me in.

“I love men and women I’ve never met,
except in song.” One of my favorite lyrics here having become a mantra I frequently sense into. Thank you for including me in this deeply atmospheric and very moving piece. Thank you for everything you have shared with ccMixter, for initiating the secret mixter, and for being here for this very special secret mixter. meow |
