I am not sure the shadows lead to samsara, but I think that freedom often requires, sadly, a taste of darkness.

The percussion here is really effective—it’s a Cult note in what otherwise is more death-metal oriented. The synth riff fits the spoken word track, but I keep thinking how a sweet sound would play against the type of the vocal and perhaps be more eerie. The up-mix of the vocal sample is the right thing to do.

I like that you used this sample, as I’ve paused by it a time or two and not done anything for want of my own imagination. You’ve brought your creativity to bear here, and it’s good to hear something a bit different sometimes.
