Yeah, that’s what I was hoping for: something replacing those MIDI approximations I’m posting.
How to use this within the rules = another question. “Collaboration” a strangely difficult thing since fourstones. Though I wonder whether Victor intended that… Should this be hard? And/or why? In any case, thanks! Though I’d need to re-license to use, myself. Up to others, I suppose. In the spirit! (CC)! |

Oh, and Happy New Year (hours ago: GMT-8 here)!

Hey Mr_Yesterday,
I thought about your remark regarding the licenses. I use CCPlus mostly because part of the money goes to ccMixter. That hopefully keeps the site alive. Secondly, I always use Non Commercial because I keep seeing people using ccMixter music, creating CD’s and selling those on Apple Store, etcetera. I love to share, but fair use is also a thing to consider. I hope you can at least understand my reasons, agreeing with them is another thing of course. Best, Martijn |

Understood, Martijn. Realizing my commercial potential here is 0 by choice, I do contribute via Patreon. My own CC license preferences have always been BY for pure field recording, BY-SA for shared creative work (no longer supported here), and I don’t CC anything I hope to make money from. This is the only site of its kind I know of; I just share less than I once did.
Please take my comments together as a compliment. I would dearly love to collaborate back and forth with you and others on this site, but the rule is “don’t remix yourself.” So I won’t be doing that, at least not posting it here…but I’m also saying, if I did it somewhere else, I’d honor your license choice. |

Understood. Clear, thank you.
Indeed, you have a solid point there. The rule ‘don’t remix yourself’ is quite a problem in this case. I did not consider that… |
