The Gurdon Light is a grand thing to see in person—spherical lights hovering in mid-air. The surrounding ghost story talks of a headless railwayman with a lantern, but the effect to me is more science fiction. A friend of mine wrote his master’s thesis in physics on the light, but did not reach a firm conclusion. All I know is that I have seen the Light, believe it a phenomenon rather than a folk myth, and suspect it is similar to foxfire or the illumination of fumes.
Thanks for remixing me! I miss doing field recordings, and should put some more on freesound. I am always amused at the uses—radio plays, podcast fx, etc. I enjoyed your tour through my catalog here. |

Quite the gathering, and a cohesive immersion into otherness. The vocals are a perfect light focus. I like it very much.

I’m liking this laid-back mix… it feels like home. Makes me wanna smell some flowers.
