Lots of samples used in this mix, and well produced! Energetic and thought provoking, the backing is blended seamlessly in with the vocals.

Thank you! I have learned lots from Speck, Apoxode and yourself I believe about the benefits of adding and then way more importantly taking away to leave room for space, tone and magic to shine forth π Thanks for all you do for this community π
Cheers! |

isn’t it just crazy, how hard it is for us to love one another?
as soon i heard these words, the tears just started flowing. you’ve created a cathartic, emotive work of art, needed by my heart in this moment in time. Martin’s pell is so powerful, and you’ve added so many interesting sounds, voices, rhythms and melodies to surround it. oh so very creative. amazing |
.
And in your kind words my heart sings π
Thanks for your constant care, concern and contemplation you give to this community π Many thanks and many Cheers! |

I really like the clarity of the vocals mixed in over the top of chaotic soundscapes. Your treatment very well portrays the lyrics. Nice job!

Thanks! I used to struggle hard with that separation but playing with the stereo field helps a lot and the rest is just tonal nudges here and there. I learned from deep listens into Tom Waitsβ tracks. He and his production team are magicians of simultaneous glue and separation π Thanks again for your kind words!

Me too. Listening listening listening and trying to emulate what I hear. Keep ‘em coming!

Your tender description did not prepare me for how tender I would feel by the end of this track. It never loses its delicacy despite its sophistication.
Thank you for sharing this sonic poem. |

You are too sweet SackJo π Thank you for your gently passionate spirit and all you bring to this community π

Joel, this is fantastic ! I love the little jump in the drum line, very impressed with how you get so much different sounds all somehow to fit in, the backing changing mood in the last 50 seconds or so : very fine! And, all in all it made me think of that moment when Janis Joplin tearfully proclaims :”half the world is crying ”
…” and the other half s crying too !” But, not to worry, the fireflies are on our side ! Big thanks, Martin |
.
So glad you liked it π I love a good skip to keep the listener on their ear-toes π Hereβs to you and the fireflies!
Cheers! |

Great backdrop and showcase for Martin’s voice and prose poetry.

As soon as I heard the original piece I knew that was the one π Speaking a deep lover of spoken word I always try to give the piece a launching pad but nothing more π Thanks for your kind words!

This is beautiful. I love the choice to use “if only” as the foundation. You constructed a thoughtful, sonic backing track for Martin’s poem, adding depth to his words. The pacing between the lines, and the slowed repetition at the end. Lovely.
|
.
That βif onlyβ phrase kept haunting me in the kindest way so I think I hinged the track on that. I had about three different ideas spring to mind so maybe it deserves future treatment in another life time π Thanks for all you bring to this community π

Excellent taste of Martin’s wonderful poetry in this ethereal downtempo track. The inclusion of debbizo’s vocal phrases adds a new layer — an excellent pairing with Martin’s phrases.
Lots of nice moments, including the appearance of the “pick up your pen” section — its distinct rolling drums and dancing keys adda nice contrast for the coda. Thank you for including me in this remix! |
.
You are most welcome! I will admit that I often look at your work when I want to add a little a magic to the mix and I think Martin would approve π Keep on creating magic my friend! π
Cheers! |
