Whoa, very impressive!
I was wishing for a little more snap/crispness on the snare, and maybe a tiny less reverb on the brass, but that’s just my personal taste, you’re an inspiration to take more time and care with my stuff! “The ears you save may be your own” ;)

The reverb was there to mask the pitch change on the brass. Also, if you listen to the original sample, there was a mess of reverb there already. I only added a dab to mask.

Also, I agree with the crispness of the snare, just don’t know how to master my own music. I’m researching, so give me a little time.

heh, oh yeah… reverb-packed. I’m not exactly mastering-master myself, my stuff up until verrry recently is totally hit-or-miss; maybe I’ll go back and try re-mastering some of my “moldies” some day. No worries, take all the time you need, I’ve found some free vst compressors/limiters and EQs very helpful.
PS You get mad props from me just ‘cause I had a devil of a time trying to line up this pella when I 1st downloaded it, and was too lazy to chop it ;)

You shouldn’t have had to line it up. The tempo is around 84. He labeled it wrong on the song file :-D

Love the way you used Paloseco great brass samples.
K’s flow on this very nice. My only problem with this mix is that in a few spots K’s vocals is over powered a bit by the music. Other than that…..I LOVE THIS

depends on what kind of speakers you’re listening to it on. the bass is a bit too heavy for me in this mix so I have since re-mixed it to fix the small areas where it getting covered. didn’t notice it on the headphones or comp speakes, and to go to my cars. Thanks!

..and you’ve been right to spent many times on this, because the result is an evidence. Everything fits together perfectly with the flow of KCentric, the dynamics of the brass and this bass wha-wha add an excellent touch of fun. Another and interesting approach of the Hip-hop. Great and cool..One more time..
