Process
This mix has been sitting on my computer for awhile, so I can't remember the early developments, but the recent stuff involved me trying to mix several mixes of varying speeds together. But, eventually I grew to really love the mix simply at half speed. I had originally sped and pitch-shifted the vocals to work with the drums set to fast, so while the music sounded awesome to me, the vocals were just too distracting with their slo-mo sound. I layered brad's original unaltered vocals back on top to help normalize the whole bit. I had to drop the track's volume a bit to let the vocals sit up higher without amping the whole deal out. The transition where the normal vox comes in is still a tiny bit jarring to me, but I can live with it.
