You can find the sample file in the "Downloads" section of this page. I recorded it myself and it's licensed under CC-BY 3.0.
Process
I recorded the original sample by tapping on a ceramic flower vase which can explain the damping tone. Then I cleaned it up using Audacity. I used the sample on Garageband to compose a simple drum beat and used effects to brighten it and make is sound a bit funk.
