How I Did It

Audacity.

Pre-owned, Mex-built, Fender Stratocaster.

Macbook Pro (that's in need of an upgrade).
Samples I Used
Vocals from ccMixter.
Drum loops from GarageBand.
Original Samples
All guitar tracks (recorded from real instruments). Bass from GarageBand software instrument.
Process
I used Audacity to change I-Ling's vocal tempo down to 110bpm (from the original 120). Sounded like a slightly slower BPM would give the track more oomph.
Imported her pell into GarageBand. Used a variety of GarageBand compression and EQ settings, to try to minimise the hiss and still make the pell stand out.
Then played around with the guitar and software amp settings. Settled on a chord/ rhythm that sounded OK. Made some slight alignment adjustments, then recorded the bass. Then final volume adjustments.
