How I Did It

by Carosone
Uses samples from:
more...Tools I Used
Cakewalk Sonar,SonicCouture Balinese Gamelan, SwarSystems Swarplug, Toontrack Ezdrummer
Samples I Used
Almost anything from Lars J. Brouwer and an a-capella from Anchor Méjans, both form ccmixter
Original Samples
synth work for modulation madness, pads and synth basses; drum programming
Process
I built a new instrument in my software sampler, by mapping individual percussive sounds from LJ Brouwer to the standard MIDI drum mapping, then I used ezplayer free to drive my MIDI files to it.
The drum work was experimental and pushed me to work with my synthesizer and call Anchor Méjans for it. A couple of ethnic virtual instruments, played on my keyboard, did the melodic part.
Other Notes
LJ Brouwer's material pushed me to do experiments with my software and my synth, I feel I did something different from my usual things and I enjoyed it a lot.
