Samples are used in:

Tools I Used

Cakewalk Sonar, iZotope Trash and Ozone

Samples I Used

ccmixter BY-NC, and a loop library

Original Samples

Rock guitars, additional strings, cello, bass: all sampled instruments played on the keyboard.

Process

Started from Aamu's "First snow in mitte". It was in G minor, so i looked in my ccm database for Gminor vocals, found Snowflake's apologize and trifonic's sooner or later, lucky enough it was more or less a similar tempo. Then i used other Aamu's tracks for fxs and processed the drum loops with iZotope Trash.

Other Notes

CCMixter takes a note of the song tempo, in bpm, but currently lacks indication on song keynote, which is important for matching vocals to music. So for all the pellas that I upload, I play along with my piano and write the key in the filename, then categorize pellas by key and tempo. When it is time to remix, it is easy to browse my ccmixter db!
