Tools I Used
Garage Band.
Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Standard.
Line6 KB37 Pod Studio.
Samples I Used
Drum loops were modified from GarageBand.
Original Samples
The rhythm and lead guitar parts. Also the bass (using GarageBand software instrument). I also sang backing vocals to panu's!
Process
Imported panu moon's pell into GarageBand. Strummed the guitar to find the right chords. Decided on a D/A/Bm/G chord. The whole track is based on that, and only that. I stuck to panu's original tempo, but had do minor cutting and shifting to fit the rock tempo.
Other Notes
Initially I wanted to arrange the song in the typical rock ballad pattern, e.g. with the break and guitar solo. But changed my mind and just repeated the chords throughout. To make the arrangement less monotonous, I tried to build up the song using additional guitar layers, drums.
