Process
Listened to the vocals a few times. Arranged it to where it sounded right. Kinda like matching the cadence and word-sounds when writing lyrics. In this case, I tried to match the cadence of the pell to the instrument melody.
Other Notes
I recognise the pell to be based on a ancient/ traditional prayer, and which has religious connotations for Hindus. I've tried my best to respect that. My thinking was to understand and appreciate the sense of what the prayer might convey, and then to put music to it. I have tried to use the music to enhance the feeling of peace and mindful contemplation.
