How I Did It
Uses samples from:
Tools I Used
Software: Cubase 4, Spectrasonics Stylus RMX and Omnisphere VSTi's.
Hardware: Access Virus TI, Roland RD-700GX
Samples I Used
I used State Shirt's original dry vocal tracks, the clean 2 note guitar riff, and the chorded mono piano from the bridge.
All other samples are from my various commercial VSTi's.
Process
As is frequently the case with my remixes, this one started out from the base of additional choir vocals created with my trusty TC Helicon VoiceLive, which of course also implied settling on the chord progression, which I kept relatively close to the original in this remix.
After that I wanted to start relatively minimalist, building to a fuller sound, and finally fading with a little tickling of the ivories.
