As the base for this song I used Edgar Allan Poe’s poem ‘Alone’, but I felt that it also needed some sort of sung chorus. So I mixed it with another lyric from the ever-inspiring Kara Square: Democrazy. Somehow, those texts felt that they fit together, because in a democracy you can also feel left alone or different if you are not supported by the majority. People who are different are also quickly labeled as ‘crazy’. Hopefully, this makes sense?

The music was completely composed by me. So, I haven’t used other samples than the vocal samples. My musical taste is quite eclectic, that’s why all kinds of genres got mixed up in this song. As a consequence, I’m not sure how to label it? Electro-dub, maybe? Any suggestions?
