Most of us fall into relationships with the hope that the initial magic will stay and that we will move forward together. But often the players tire of the dance and reluctantly return to their state of oneness and the sad inevitability of going solo.

I have taken The Admirals wonderful sung piece and tweaked it to fit the music but it’s message of hope and trust are kept intact.


The writings on the wall the girl has gone away
All the promises are laying on the floor
They are bruised beyond confused
They’re going solo

My skin is scarred from breaking out my journey’s end a darkened place

And what if love gets turned away a closing door on words we say
How will we ever get to be the ones we were
When we first met before regrets
And going solo
