Caveau de la Huchette
The Caveau de la Huchette is a famous jazz club near to Notre Dame cathedral. It started its life as a jazz club in 1949 and over the years has hosted performances by many great artists. The building in which the club is housed dates back to the 1550’s.
Thanks go to the Bakers Boy for the trumpet and to Snowflake for the beautifully wistful vocal additions. He met her in a parking lot in France He watched her as she beautifully danced Her hair in jet black ringlets fell They offered up a dangerous spell There was more to her than beauty that was a fact And he was always looking forward never back Later in the Caveau de la Huchette He sang his songs and soaked up all their praise Then in the crowd he saw her face She raised her hand and gave a waive But she disappeared before he had a chance There never was to be a fine romance Where lovers walk the ground is built on glass And very few are offered up the chance To see the golden carousel Upon which the riders sell There love for one more moment from the past He knew it was no more than circumstance
