What a gift to find and to work with a vocal recording from 1926 from your native people. The whole scene you’ve created around it is strong, intense, hypnotic and, a bit surprising, strangely moving.

It is a gift. And it is bizarre. I feel privileged to be able to use it and at the same time I feel as if I am now somehow complicit in the synthesizing of… nature(?) So - ‘use it’ good, ‘use it’ bad - perhaps accounts for the “strangely moving” aspect.
