You did a great job setting up Mykle’s voice with a deep but airy atmosphere that mirrors the timbre of the lyric. Bravo.

Thank you sackjo; obviously I would have loved to have made a mix that was more in keeping with the style of the vocals, but I just dont ahve those skills !
Thanks Best,Martin |

I understand the challenge you faced by reading your description.
I like what you did and it fits into the topic for me. |
.
Thank you Siobhan, as I said, I had forgotten the topic when I was mixing, and listening to other mixes, they are much more upbeat than my track ! Maybe next time…

digging the swirling sounds surrounding Mykle’s powerful voice, and the flangy treatment. the bass line is haunting. i like the sparseness and space in this mix.

.
yes, the voice is incredible !

You really stepped out of the way nicely to give Mykle plenty of room. Great mix, glued together perfectly!

.
Scomber, I felt I had no choice but to step aside a bit, glad you felt that it worked !

Nice work, spare and forceful. All of my thoughts about fireflies are tinged with sadness, anyway, and this mix speaks for itself. I like it.

thanks, yes I didnt think about fireflies that way but of course they too are ephemeral!

An unusual and unexpected take on the vocals, it actually works quite well.
A good choice for an acappella to use with your unique blending of synth creations. |
.
Thank you Apoxode, indeed I love the sound of the steam synth, the way it can hover between abstract sound and an identifiable pitch. I believe by using MykleÅ› backing vocals to generate the steam synth that made it sort of fit together better. Best,Martin
