Yep. The Red Breasted House Finches that nest on our side porch every spring have given me a great sense of ‘life goes on’.
“The glorious sunrise persists.” And it’s there for all.
Thank you for sharing your view of it.

We had red breasted house finches nesting under our eaves for many years and I loved watching them. How wonderful you have them so nearby. Thanks for listening with so much attention and understanding.

There’s a passage in Return of the King that this reminds me of - Sam sees a star whose beauty is forever out of reach of the damage Sauron can do, and marvels at it.

LOTR & The Hobbit — my favorites books as a kid and my favorite movies still! I know that scene so well “Look Mr. Frodo, there is light and beauty up there no shadow can touch.”

It is a great honor that something I’ve written would even make you think of Tolkien. Thank you!!!

This is wonderful all the way through, visual enough to put me there, the language allows the scene to unfold.
So many thoughts come to mind throughout, about how the positive and negative changes affect our environment and our outlook.
I choose hope, too!

Some rhubarb is putting out flowers and seeds, some trees are white with flowers and I could smell many ft away. The sparrow came back and borrowed the deck. Nice words freaked me out. I put up the Sun from yesterday without a clue of this or that.I did watch CBS news early, it was just simple yes or no question about a test. Beautiful Words Spoken.

Thank you. Beautifully written and delivered. Inspiring. I can relate and I believe many of us can. Katie and I saw a Northern Flickers in our backyard for the first time last week. We watched hop around, eating insects from our lawn. It was one of many moments we’ve enjoyed in the calmness of this pause.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I wrote the word ‘COURAGE’ on a piece of paper because I wanted to remind myself to have it. A game developed where Katie and I would hide this paper strip of ‘COURAGE’ around the house for each other to find. At one point, Katie said “courage is everywhere!” My hope was realized.

I cranked her words out my window this am, had a fire alarm test and looking down on the draining of the fire system pumping a big stream down the hill. Few minutes after the other crew was called next door for a rescue. If drivers are supposed to be alert have vision why they need sirens? We live on a hill like the Eagles Hotel California. A well spoken piece from the lands of plenty.
