Perhaps one of your most emotional songs. For obvious reasons. What you write is terrible. Being a non-American, I must admit I had to google for the meaning of TRO. What a pressure you’re under. The music itself? Would have been a favorite track on Abbey Road. Still, what remains after the listen is a sense of anger and despair but also of hope.

Thank you Per. I admit, one of the brightest, most hopeful aspects of my life is ccMixter. I am so grateful for this outlet, and for these wonderful people I consider my friends. Thank you for your kind understanding.

I don’t know how you do it Emily. Bitter and poignant all at once. I hope people hear this important song. I hope you’re taking Catholic prayers on the house, ‘cause I’m sendin ‘em on up!

Dear Admiral,

I will accept your prayers with greatest gratitude, and even started doing the Rosary myself in this matter (even though I am not sure I’m doing it right!). Faith is my source of hope. Thank you for your support.

One great poignancy of this is its universality. It is everyone who has been through this, is going through this, now gaining voice through yours. And not just one soulless bank, or the soulless banking system … but the entire corrupted superstructure of the entire system.

Thank you for your personal hot off the piano live performance of this gem last week, Snowflake dear.

dear john,

it was a delight to play this song for you not minutes after it was born. raw, fresh, vulnerable.

thank you for giving me the strength to appear before the judge, standing tall with the strength of millions of others in my mind.

peace my brother.

Gosh Emily, I now understand what you are going through and the emotion is do deep and poignant in this song. It’s a very sad situation and hope it is resolved in your favour.

thanks Deb. so far so good. i’ve won my first three hearings against wells fargo. i do not enjoy being in court, however, and would much rather have a reasonable, logical resolve with these guys (they seem to have lost their ethical compass).

thanks for your support.

I was working with a young playwright last week and trying to express the fact that anything worth listening too has to have an element of personal truth to truly have any value and communicate.

I will play her this. Flat out brilliance.
