Agree with the audiomesh statement on the beats…the sped up breaks brought in the middle of the track are nice.

and MC Jack’s assessment of the vocal comparison to the tuning of the song ;)…it still works though.

the kick beat was more a distraction for me than anything. same with the pitch issues i brought up.

some of these things might have been intentional, or others may dig them, which is cool. also, i didn’t rate this, even though a 1 appeared shortly after my original review. i will say it’s better than a 1.

This is a hard one to rate. It’s solid but just off-tune enough to bug me. But well done off tune if that makes any sense.

I swear at the end I heard the chords to Overreacting(another Brad tune). Sharp?

I suspect it might sound off-tune because of light-vocoding on the vocals… maybe that was a bad idea. :)

As for the chords to Overreacting… if it is there it wasn’t intentional.

the kick drum sounds off the beat, which might be intentional but it still sounds off to me.

also, there seems to be some key issues between brad’s vocals and the backing mix. sorry if this sounds harsh, but it’s what i’m hearing.

I actually really like the kick that way. It just feels really bouncy and relaxed, as the rest of the beat does.
Also the tunning is quite cool even if it seems slightly disharmonic in
parts. This all gives the song a nice atmosphere which fits the lyrics.

Bluntly put, the bass in the beginning does nothing for me. Through the rest of the track it stabs me in the ear.

While the voice doesn’t really go with the backing mix, I think it has a nice drunkeness about it. It simply works, and works well for me.
