I always enjoy interpreting someones lyrics and re-phrasing a song which appeals to me personally. So I know where you are coming from here….nice work Scomb. Cheers!

Thanks Anchor.
I know what you mean too!
Its somewhat daunting trying to “fit” to a work that was entirely personal and heartfelt (as it was with Kaer’s song I based this on)
Its also a challenge to remain true to the original (I can’t sing like Kaer) but to put your own stamp on it.
I suppose that imitation is the ultimate compliment and I’d like to use this opportunity to thank Kaer again for her generosity and the incredibly high standard of the many and varied pieces she has posted on ccM!
Cheers mate

Being partial to keyboards, the bluesy piano riffing is the part I like the best. That said I have an opinion to offer. The piano chords, strings and voice feel like they are in the same groove. The bluesy piano riffing is smoove (nice work), but it doesn’t feel like it is in the same groove as the rest of the song. The flatted notes and playing style throw me off the song’s groove. I used to do that to singers on stage all the time “:0)

Thanks TRF! I know what you mean!
Unfornuately my voice, left hand and feet are cemented together when I’m playing live and that right hand just ends up playing what the hell it wants to!
Cheers mate :-)

Don’t change it - I’m loving what both hands are getting up to in this track!

You’ve given me chills down the spine, Scombers. I love the setting - simplicity and clarity and raw emotion. This is a really terrific mix. xxxx

Wow, I’ve just followed this song back to it’s roots through clicking on links from Donnie Ozone’s latest hip hop version - I love this place! So you’re the maestro on piano Scomber? Fantastic! This song is wonderful. It’s great that it will be brought back to the surface again through remixes to people like me that missed it first time around. Well done
