Great words Rob, and your vocal delivery is always cool. I dread any kind of eye trouble and do not know how I’d cope. Really sympathise man. Also cool how turn it into a poem. The music backing fits well. Don’t know why you can’t find the sample — it was pure original me and not ripped off, so shouldn’t have been pulled.

Listening to your track remind me of something:

There are more and more homeless people in my home town. Some sell copies of the “Big Issue” outside Marks & Spencer on the high street. One day last year I saw such a guy, but he was sporting a huge white bandage on his eye. A homeless guy had recently been kicked to death by teenagers for fun, so I was worried this guy had been attacked. And so I went up and asked what was up? Turned out he’d woken up with a detached retina and, not knowing what to do, had struggled to hospital. They operated and sent him straight back out onto the street. This guy, with nothing else to do, simply went back to selling the “Big Issue” outside M&S where, for the most part, he was totally ignored by shoppers.

I didn’t give him any money because I only had £1 to last me all day for food. But I think he appreciated my concern!

Yeah, you don’t have to go far in any city to find someone with a lot more problems than yourself.

Hmmm… incredible poem and delivery, Rob. Jav’s instrumental backing feels like the perfect choice. Perfectly affecting.

I’m so sorry to hear about your eyes… horrible.

Thanks Kara. The good news is that we caught it in time & I should make a complete recovery.
