I think this is very clever blend of sounds. Unfortunately I’m rarely moved by a clever blend of sounds — it does sound you had a ton of fun making this. Were you really trying for danceable or were jk around? (rhetorical q…)

Well you’ve got to remember these are algorithmically composed loops - stuck together without much creative genius on my part. I’m still learning the art of track making (it’ll be some time before the computer does that bit) - meanwhile the loops from my software will always end up being busy and clever sounding because those are the ones I give a high score to - these reproduce and so on…

I wasn’t really joking with the hardcore - it just evolved that way and I went with it. One day I’ll start a project like this from scratch with the same samples and same tempo and we’ll see how different they can turn out.

You those scenes in Pi where the protagonist is under extreme pressure and everything is moving around crazily? This is the sonic equivalant. Some insane scientist is working in a frenzy in his lab. “Chosen selection” is his deadpan way of cooing at creations he particularly likes. This his ode to his most advanced machinations and adulterations. It’s madness. Total madness. Fantastic.

You have my respect! I did hardcore for a few years and know very well the issues to face. You did a good job on compression! The track is awesome.

love the happy hardcore feel to this…definitely has a late night underground club feel where all of a sudden you’re exposed to some sound that is not just background noise but is creating the atmosphere.
