Interesting! I’d be really interested to hearing the whole song done as an instrumental track with the bass and drums.

I’m not a fan of the added reverb on the ukulele, though - it sounds a bit too muddy.

In any case, I had purposefully not put bass or drums into the original track because I wanted it to stay simple, but now you have me rethinking that decision. Nice.

Hi Fluffy,
I cleaned the whole instruments and once they were cleaned the ukulele sounded a bit too dry. The reverb was to merge it better with the guitar. Anyway… you know… tastes…
I added the drums on the end only cause I understood your intentions and I like it this way. My ending is like a summary.
Thanks, you made a very nice song.

I like the way you softened it all. Really great job. Cool bass treatment. What do you use to make chorus on bass sound like that?

I checked the project again to be sure, but there’s no chorus on this track’s bass guitar. I often use for my fretless bass the SimulAnalog Univibe… that’s mainly for guitars but works good on basses too.
If you meant the basses frequencies, I just used a stereo reverb on the master channel, just a bit, to round the edges.
Thanks Doxii.

I want to add that I’m using a free preamp vst from the Italian Ignite Amps, the TPA-1 on my bass guitars… and not only on the bass sometimes.
It’s really a nice sounding preamp.

Great sound and a cool arrangement. I like the sound your of your new bass! Its warm and it bites nicely, has a nice attack. Also the string-arrangement. Great song and job of you both!

I made not much for the arrangement, just added the final with drums and bass. It’s funny that there’s just a cello played by Fluffy on this track and no other strings, but the piano mixed with that cello sounds like a string ensemble. Fluffy made a good job. Thanks Hans.

I really like this fluffy song. Fun to hear your arrangement. Seems very respectful of the original. No surprise, having heard your mixes of Kara Square.

Ha, ha, ha… this time I just made a mastering work… and added a different ending. This song was ready as it was to my ears. Poor Kara, I sometimes devastate her nice songs! :-)

No wonder it seemed respectful of the original. Guess I gotta listen closer.

Fantastic! Splendid! Oh, I love this! However, my ukulele feels like you’re cheating on her. ;) Anyway, well done, my friend! Man, I’m loving fluffy’s voice.

Hey, tell your ukulele I’m not cheating on her… lol… I sometimes treated her in a more “electric” way but I like her a lot. Fluffy is really good, yes. Thank you Kara.
