hey jacinda —

would you have time to record yourself saying the words ‘Dear Mr Williams’? three or four different ways? i’m experimenting with a remix and was hoping to get several ccM artists in on it ;)

thanks!

Always love your harmony work. Any way you can upload each track separately?

I actually had planned to…then realized last night when I exported the files I exported them in m4a rather than aiff format and they were essentially useless. I’ll actually separate these out tonight, I was just too tired last night to do it… :)

Woman, you are awesome!! I’m rooting through my basement for my recorder this weekend. I will try to create a remix with this. I only hope I can do it justice.

Yea, well, first I have to find one. The instruments I have are toys for my children. The last time I played the recorder was about 27 years ago, but I remembered it being easy :-).

I wish we all had that level of quality control. That’s some fine baroque choral singing!

This has to be the best modal piece I have ever heard on CC mixter! Excellent, excellent work!

wohoo!!! - JE lays down the gauntlet! Lyrically brilliant, musically classy and performance exquisite.

Delivering your message in a genre that is so much at the foundation of modern western music, reminds us of the public domain works of the musical giants on who’s shoulders we all so freely stand because their works didn’t get locked up.

Bravissimo!!!

Thank you. Your praise is very well-received. I personally draw so much inspiration constantly from classical music (it is where my background is, even if I’m a total slacker anymore!) and I do find it interesting how many works borrow from these earlier public domain works, without so much as a thank you. I do it myself, even unconsciously, but I’m not really saying it’s something that we have to fess up to and apologize for necessarily. Just acknowledge that, as with any culture, cross-pollination in music is a good thing. Anyway, this is a rather soapboxy comment and far too long. At the heart of it is, thank you for your kind words and seeing the point I was ~trying~ to make. :)
