Provocative as always, Gurdonark. What I was looking for in this piece but didn’t hear, were a few sounds which would be familiar but so much a common tone or resonance that I might not notice them in my environment but would in a mix like this. I am thinking of things like the animal sounds you sometimes include (but not here as they would be too obvious). I don’t know that the inclusion of such sounds would make this piece have more impact it was just my impression. Your notes are quite deep as is the content of your chosen spoken word pella. Nice to know someone’s out there thinking :-). Have you considered a run for President? :-).

Thanks for a really constructive critique. I use so many field recordings and fx that I thought I’d try to play it a bit more straight, but here I think I see this as you do. I appreciate that you listen and thoughtfully review!

good for the ashtray, that you didn’t have a sledgehammer instead!

the moral of the story is, that not only each thing has a builtin sound, but that sound depends a lot on what does the hitting :-)

An ambient/noise artist I respect was saying a year or two back what a liberating sound he got from dropping light bulbs, but I never saw the light on that one :). Thanks for reviewing me!

I can hear, in your work, the part of you which doesn’t want to grow. I like it, i like this part of chilhood that you have kept.

Thank you. I think that if music helps me, at a non-young age, keep in touch with my child-like attitude, then it has done “right by” me.
