I think it is very important that we in this sharing culture business implode a different kind of [processed sugar] cube—the cube of popular music which no longer captures our hearts and souls. This is why I urge people to listen to netlabels and Creative Commons artists rather than “rip” the out-of-touch young dinosaurs of a best-forgotten past.

This remix is why I feel so strongly on this point. The text, the ideas, the words, the mix, the song, the poignant feeling I get when I listen to it. This is why netlabel music matters to me. I love this mix.

I see in your notes you say you used some freesound—if so, please go attribute it, as we want every artist who gave you material for this to get credit, as this is an amazing mix to share with anyone.

I met the woman with whom I was in love (but did not marry) when I was 23 recently, after some 25 years. It was a time of past lives and days of the dead. My wife and I thought she and her husband entirely delightful people, and yet, it is in memories, and remixes like this, that one touches what one loved.

Hmmm all of a sudden I feel like a musical knight on my horse, battling pop tyranny lol Thanks for such sweeping appreciation—my ego and I are pleased hehe Good luck with the exhibition—with talent like Sack and yours it should be quite the art display.
