Beautiful treatment. Love those slide/pedal steel flourishes behind the piano! the sparse backing sets a thoughtful and pensive tone to Yvonne’s vocals and words.

Thank you, yeah I thought the vocals really should be center stage. I thought about just leaving it with only the piano, but like you, I just like those slide overtones too much. I did leave the vocals completely alone with timing though, didn’t want to mess with the emotional performance.

Your talents as a balladeer equal those of your funskter and reggae selves. But then, you already knew I felt that way.

Thanks, you too. Matter of fact I didn’t realize you had an inner funkster til recently. I wanted to use your stems but I didn’t have a way to open the flac files. Didn’t realize there were free solutions on iTunes. something tells me though that the funk meme isn’t going away anytime soon :)

This makes me want to cry. Narva9’s vocals are so bittersweet and heartfelt, and your music fits so well around it, it just is sad, and understanding at the same time. Beautifully sad and healing. Thankyou.

There are no lyrics and i couldn’t understand what narva9 say.
I felt quiet sadness in your sound and narva9 vocals together.Very nice ballad for babies.

Thanks MMT…another artist I’ll have to look up…not complaining :)

Actually, the name sounds familiar, not sure if I know any of the work.

Her album called “You Were Here” remains one of my all-time favorites. Here’s a song called “ Capsized.” You may have heard of the band she was in called Weeping Tile?
