Whoa - TheJoe makes an appearance with a shredding head bang!

The chords are intriguing, edgy but work for my ears. The synth bridge serves to amplify the guitars right to 11.

An excellent Saturday night’s alright for fighting remix!

Thanks Spin!

You know, sometimes its time to leave the comfort zone and step into something that I always wanted to do. i wish I could play a guitar or so… :-)

Thanks for the review!

I echo the “whoa”.

The harmonies work really well for me in the verse, for me the upbeat chords in the refrain don’t fit as well.

But that verse - oh that verse. The guitars and heavy beat are outstanding. I love it.

Know what you mean with the chords in the chorus as I first made this backings without having an idea of what to do with it and only testing some sounds and efx. To add kristin-s voice was an idea which came very late and I had no will (I am a lazy guy you know already) to tune it better as it worked for me here 90% (percent).
To be honest I also feel better with the verse… :-)

Thanks for the review and for your “sharp ears” again.

Oh, I have not forgotten the… you know what I mean…

Man this is f**ing amazing!!!! I am actually fighting off some dreaded disease today and sitting here without much enthusiasm. Then I heard this track and the energy just penetrated my whole body! Of course the heavy crunchy wailing guitars set the mood, but when the keyboard wash came in so unexpectedly, I was knocked off my chair. The bt easily matched the intensity of the vocal and raised it all to an even higher level of intensity, while maintaining a great balance of sound and feeling. Love this track!

Thanks Susan!

What a review! I love your words in the headline of your playlist. You_ve said it best towards the direct emotional contact on a song.

I am glad the remix could “heal” you for a moment and so I wish you good and soon bettering!

oooh Mr Joe—work has been pretty much sucking the life out of me lately—-this just pumped quite a bit back in. Too be honest I’m surprised to hear this from you but its very bloody nice indeed. If I was to nag a little it would be that the vocals are just off a tad to me but hell when you woke me up like you did with this it doesn’t matter much—-

Thanks AT!

Knowing that you already have made some remixes on KH stems and sometimes I think there are some musicians that really can capture the soul of it then, I think its you.
Re- timing of the vocals, yes, know what you mean, but as i tried to give it a little “live” touch I thought it would work though with some little “offs”.

Thanks again and glad you like it!

Unexpected, powerful and just plain cool. I have said it before, Kristin’s vocals are probably pretty hard to work with (which doesn’t mean that I don’t like them, because I do), but you did a pretty amazing job and surprised me in a positive way with your approach.

Thanks Michel!

Haha, so I could surprise you lately with this version which means something good I assume.

Also for me a little unexpected as the bt was meant as only a test for me.. :-)

This totally works - really solid.

Stems, please, so this doesn’t become the end of this remix conversation…

Thanks fourstones!

Unfortunately this time stems are not all available. The reason: copyright protected loops, here especially all guitars. I am no guitar player and do use libraries for guitar parts. The distorted backsound (sounds similiar like a guitar) is a sequencer sound from Omnisphere routed through a complex efx chain. As for the notes on licence agreements, I am not allowed to load up the pure samples/loops. I already had problems with that by ignoring this in further time.
Having said this, I think about to leave my lazy zone and try to reactivate my own programmings for ccmixter remixes as I have done this before I worked with a sampler/loops etc.

Thanks again and next remix with more personal ingredients! ;-)

Loved this from the start. It moves with darkness and attacks when you least expect it. This is probably one of my favourites of yours… a really well rounded mix, it has style, energy and that ‘get on down’ kick to it… Cooooool

Thanks a lot Scott!

I was going with this remix in another direction as you already remarked. I wasn_t shure for the result as this is not my comfortzone, even if I see myself in my dreams as a long hair, leather suited, banging hardrock guitar player. I dig the energy of this music and also for the guitar sounds. This this as my first effort on it.
I am very glad that you like it, thanks again for the review and after dinner, I am going to listen to your new opus!!

Jesus! Mr. Riz, thanks for the note…, well what can I say, I am still alive (I guess) LOL, but mostly absent from all the good things happened in the past (like remixing or how to spell it). Even though I am still making music here an there. Hey, what happened to the RWremixed site? The re-design means, they deleted all the nice old (okay, I am sort of nostalghia now)remixed songs, or what? Sometimes I got over there to have a listen to “old dear friends” too.
It_s a pity they changed everything, like resetting your brain…
Hey, leave me a mail if you like. Want to know what happened in your life…

Cheers mate!
