Really really good. Spiritual, uplifting, inspiring and inspired.
I get a quality 60’s musical (hair, jesus christ superstar) feel when AB starts singing that is really cool with the more modern beats.
Lovely backing vocals too.

Mastering is my weak spot and in headphones everything sounds good. The only suggestion I have is reducing the lows in the percussion (congas or whatever they are, guess it’s Error404’s sample) but I’m really no expert.

You make me blush with such nice words. I’m going to play with some of the low end (when I have a moment). I think the samples are inherently spiritual and uplifting which helps!

This is such an expansive remix. It seems you’ve picked and emphasized all of our most esoteric and yet central to our being sounds. Sure I could say that it sounds like a sixties musical (in some ways it does), but it is a lot more than that.

Listening to this, I feel as though I’m sweeping over the Serengeti, or plunging into the Ganges, circling the Black Rock, or at the Wailing Wall. It transcends time and culture, to paint a cosmic picture of emergence straight from the soul of the universe as it worships its Creator.

It means a lot to me that this track engendered such feeling in you, particularly because your soaring voice is so much a part of this rremix. Your source material is fantastic. I enoyed working with your voice so much — warm, full of feeling and deeeply spiritual.

Thanks Anchor. When it comes to harmonies I think I have a neurotic compulsion to include them!

I like. Your most accomplished remix yet. I don’t have any comments on mixing - I think you’ve done a great job.

Ditto to what Anchor said. This is one of my fav remixes you have done and that’s really going out on a limb because you have so many fine ones. AB has never sounded so good.

This is one of those remixes that feels like it was always the original intention of the parts… really fabulous. Gave me a bit of a Rusted Roots feel… super-cool. You made a beautiful anthem. (No mastering advice from me… I struggle with that side some myself.)

Thanks MMT! This is actually one of those remixes that “emerged” out of the source material (although it was quite a process, I must admit).

this is really excellent susan. you’ve taken your work to a new level. this track is more like an entire book (as compared to just a chapter) - i’m honored to have a part in this work of art (thanks for making me sound so good). admiral bob’s and haskell’s chapters are incredible.

Emily — it doesn’t take much to make you sound good — your source material just starts out that way! But I am really pleased that you like the track — that means a lot to me. I got into your words and your voice in a very deep way working on this track — they are both incredibly moving.

Excellent mix. Perfect clarity of voice. I like the variety of percussion and how well it all works together. And it definitely has an inspirational feel.

Surprisingly, this impression of a leap back in the sixties, musically speaking. But all this is a mixture, clever and well done ….
