Whew… there’s something stirring about hearing a melody I heard/wrote sung by something else… I’ve only been covered a couple times… always an intense experience. Not that this is a cover… so much more! I’m touched. Beautiful. Emotional. I’ve always loved that about your writing and delivery. The raw feeling. To me, that’s the most important part of songwriting. Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for connecting with my words/emotion and expanding it to your own work.

It’s my pleasure Kara. It’s not often that songs are re-sung on this site, much less with different lyrics, so I suppose you could see it as a different way of sampling them. However, as you suggest, this came about more as a result of an emotional response to your song than anything else. Thank you for giving me something so heartfelt and melodically appealing to respond to.

I was about to say not to worry but I see you’ve now uploaded a remix using some of my vocal material. A brave decision, as I know my singing can be hard to work with!

I love this hypnotic rythm which perfectly goes with your cool voice of bluesman , and Javolenus, Kara and The admiral :)
Uploaded !!!!!

Thank you so much. As soon as I’d decided what to do it all came together quite easily on this track. I should probably steal Kara’s ideas more often!

Diaphane I don’t think I can because it doesn’t seem to be either in my document file or my recycling bin, but it literally is just the Javolenus track Over To You with a few extra vocal and other touches.

However, looking at my page I noticed I’d accidentally listed the acoustic version of this track as one of my sources, when I should have listed the version with the drums. I’m sure this is the source you’re really after. I’ve corrected this and you should now be able to click on the right version of Over to You and download it.
