Hi sLow and thanks for this! I’m still trying to think who your voice reminds me of, and now i’ve come up with Roy Harper! If you don’t know him, check him out (esp. a song called “When an Old Cricketeer Leaves the Crease”).

A beauty. Well, another beauty. Quite the one-take talent you have.

Hi speck and thanks for this. In most cases I record in a single take; sometimes I edit afterwards, but I almost never rehearse.

Hi There! And good to hear from you, hope all is well?! Thanks for this. Y’know that Kalimba piece by audiotechnica is just so good, I couldn’t really go wrong!

Thanks Jeris — that Kalimba is great and I’m busy building up a possible sample pool.

Hi Jeris and thanks for this. OK, check out the three “Gm75” tracks I uploaded, they all relate to the Kalimba track, although the last one (“Gm75-JustStrings”) has the Kalimba muted. Basically I just wanted to create enough samples to give you guys some options for mixing. Where possible I’ve included “dry” stems. Cheers!

Awesome thanks, I’ve been wanting to work on something like this for years. I don’t know why I never just went out and bought or made some kalimbas. I probably will after this is all done. For now, looks like there’s some good material to work with :)
