Process

I recently finished my first album, and track five on it is called What If That Was. It was one of my first club tracks, and when I first heard the song Remember the Name, I decided right off the bat I would make a remix of the two. Next thing you know, Fort Minor posts the contest on Myspace.

The original song features myself (Michael Ewing, a.k.a. ST8MENT), along with two other 619 vocalists, Donnie Brasco and Profit. The instrumental was completely rebuilt from the ground up in Reason. :)

The resulting track is a fusion of my song and Shinoda's. It's worth the full listen; my original track is available on my myspace at http://www.myspace.com/st8ment ....
