All the drummers I have known have been hard to stop once they get behind the skins so it is that I have always found the orchestral percussionists role a strange one.

To sit behind some of the largest instruments and then have to wade through hours of music and to only contribute a small amount must be frustrating in the least.

But without them where would we be! So here is a token of my appreciation for the lads and lasses up at the back!
