When I first heard Onlymeith’s haunting piano solo, I melted …such a thing of great beauty that it is. After many a listen, and a three a.m. insight, I wrote these, hopefully suitable lyrics, titled, Quixote.

If there were something I could say or do,
To change the way this mad world has come completely undone.
It would not take
a span of days
To raise my shield high,
defending and a-righting those prolonged wrongs.
But dreamers dream,
As dreamers do…………
And the windmills left so strong for me to fight;
Ever looming strewn through all these dark and fruitless fields,
To prove their strength, in bitter trumps
To prove invincible.
Still dwells a hope
within the heart
for the snowy white dove.
Fleeing from starless blackening nights without end…
guard all I love,
watch over me,
even though I’m broken……………….
