Politics is not an easy vocation but here in the UK we appear to have elected a house of fools.

There is a government that sits near to my home
Beside a famous river in a building thats well known
They just keep on talking no answers do they find
Three years and still they don’t know how to leave the past behind
We need a pathway not a slippery slope
A route that gives us every chance and honours the peoples vote
But the elected members do nothing but sit and debate
Not finding any answers soon europe will shut the gate?

Its a terrible reminder of fragilty and loss
Of the unheeded dimensions the value and the cost
A subtle way of saying we’re not sure which way to turn
And Teresa’s in the saddle the horse has bolted the papers burned

I am not a man of conscience I can follow left or right
Not afraid to be a bigot happy to dim the light
But I do require answers even if they’re clouded and thin
Some hope to travel forward and let the change begin
