That is absolutely gorgeous! I also completely disagree it is absolutely authentic. The medieval period was marked by musicians using whatever instruments they had at their disposal. You just happen to have more to choose from :) Anyway, gorgeous piece in every way!
Cheers!

Thanks. What I meant was I tried to use the instruments of the medieval era, but they weren’t working well to me. So I had to forget the initial idea and use what ever sounded cool to me. ;)

Hey that was quick work! Your instrumentation/arrangement is spot-on. And amazing work you did on the vocals—many thanks for that! I think you captured the poem perfectly and created a really beautiful, atmospheric, Medieval sound-mirage. Congrats on another superb remix and again, many thanks!

Thanks. An excellent original piece to work with and also so beautiful. I like new musical challenges and this one was a new one for me. And yeah, kudos to the pronunciation of “R”.

Hi Zep and thanks for this. Yeah, I spent about 4 minutes on the music and about 2 hours trying to pronounce those words—especially the rolled Rs! I think you rose to the challenge brilliantly—the instrumentation sounds Medieval to me—and the vocal is monumental! I think this is an impressive and classy mix. Thanks again—much appreciated! I’d also like to say that working on this track was a real pleasure for me—kind of pushed my horizons a bit.

It is a great song and great singing. I made minor changes to it - added your guitar melody to two places.

Hi Zep and thanks for this. Yeah that’s better—in fact adding the GTR melody crossed my mind as an option, so I’m kinda glad you updated! Nice work!

Thanks J. There are still still some messy parts in my Kora “playing” that sound disorganized - may have to clear it up a bit later.

I’ve always been most attracted to this kind of music of old. I don’t know if it’s all the period dramas or rpg video games but something stuck and it never left. You’ve done it well here

Nice to hear folks dig this medieval music! I heard this present tune on a CD called “Music of the Troubadours”—got me interested in that period. Thanks again to Zep for perfectly capturing the spirit of Berenguier’s original song.
