jazztastic backing to snowflakes poetry some how emphasises the spirtual feeling of the spoken word piece. Nice !

Thanks for listening and commenting. After working on the chill jazz music, tried some different pellas. Snowflake’s vox was a perfect match for the song. ElRon XChile played some guitar notes over the remix. Very much fun.

Hey TRF, This is a very stylish and effortless cool mix. My first impression was that a melodic pella would of suited your backing more, but as the sax kicked in, it all sounded very natural. Jazz is a style I’ve still to master and when I do so, this track would definatley be a reference point. Excellent authenticate jazz flavoured soup to warm up the ears.

Hey, Scott. Thanks for the postive soup comments.

I first put some melodic pellas on the tune but Snowflake’s spoken word vox jumped into the groove. I was looking for an inner city jazz cafe poetry reading slant; Snowflake brought it home.

This is absolutely awesome! The perfect mix of sultry and languid elements, not the least of which is Snowflake’s poem…. it’s like it was made for jazz. Stefsax is another perfect addition.

The guitar chord and wipe is a really nice touch, too. Subtle and only here and there, trailed out with a solo, but makes it all a little organic. :)

Thanks Admiral.

Wrt organics, yeah, recording over the remix helps reduce the less organic results of mixing, matching, aligning, stretching, pitching, cutting, pasting and looping. Especially when creating jazz. Sterile jazz is an oxymoron.

What a crisp mix and a great piece to start off my Sunday. Smooth jazz and the spoken word is a natural fit. I like the openness of it all. The sax is fabulous and that one guitar chord here and there really caught my ear too. Fantastic job once again :)

Thanks Copperhead. I was going for wide open spaces and real sparse on ElRon’s guitar.

I LOVE jazz remixes - probably without bongos, but this is a great track anyway.

Thanks Roca.

I don’t often get a chance to use bongos in any genre and, for me, they are difficult to convincingly mix. In this remix, however, bongos helped create the target vibe.

Thanks, Snowflake. Glad you like it. The honor is mine. Love working with great talent. It’s inspiring. This remix quickly wrote itself. Just fell together like it was meant to be. My favorite kind of studio work.
