This one would have been terrific today. Anyway, what I like most about this is your voice. It adds an earthiness that makes this more 2011 than 2031.

Thought it meant barely there, means short lived, which I guess is a type of barely there. So then I looked up rift even though I was pretty sure I knew that. That led to seeing the phrase I used for the title, a graben being defined as a type of geological formation. But now that you mention it, yeah, must be of German origin. Of course now I have to look up faiblesse.

There’s a lot of different moods in here… the wind chimes in an approaching storm, the squeaks of scraping glass, and the big pulse sounds, which remind me of something I used to hear in nightmares as a child. Needless to say, I found it foreboding (in a very artfully constructed way.)
