Thanks for the peek into your process. I would say that merely your starting point (midi files) more than qualifies as melting “boundaries, stretch[ing] the limits of what can be created from what once was.” You started with the essence of mwic’s ideas and manifested them into new sounds. That’s pretty deep!
Now that I know there is someone in our community that likes working with midi, I’m going to make it a practice to include midi files with my stems. thanks again! |

I believe that the midi files themselves were generated via rosegarden and that they are also a step away from what mwic laid down; I read one of his comments that the rosegarden export had added swing, or similar, though I think that was on a different track.
