Is it me, or does this sound like something I would hear on David Bowie’s Labyrinth soundtrack? Like something the Goblin King would sing to Sarah…
I love the smooth, synthy jazzy feel, accompanied by the dark, heartfelt lyrics… Great mix!  Although you do have me a little worried with some of those lyrics, with the herbicide and suicide bits… Everything alright there, Scomber? |

I’m fine :-) Sometimes my lyrics are dark but really written from the third person. I started this from scratch when the submissions opened earlier today. I tend to create better when I’m under time pressure, though the result is usually quite dark. Thanks for your kind words and Bowie comments. Cheers mate S |

Done in a day? That’s some quick thinking. I wish I was able to dedicate a whole day to mixing. Alas, with small kids and a day job, I’m only able to dedicate an hour here, an hour there…

It’s taking me a while to get to listen to all the Secret Mixter offerings but this one was well worth the wait, Scombers. It’s fantastic and your lyrics are always so gritty and clever. The girls in your fan club over here say they have a few things that need urgent attention in their secret gardens and are you free at all? xxxx

Thanks V, i’ll post the vocals next time Im back in the studio, i’d love you to put a big dark house landscape around it :-). Btw, gone to seed, literally: after a plant flowers and sinences, withering and usesless to eat. Figuratively: replace the word plant with the word love. Lol I guess I’ve spent too much time broadcasting my wild oats in pretty girls gardens over the years, only to find out they are actually a witch lol
