This is bleepin’ brilliant! Totally unexpected (I only read your description when the song was already playing). Maybe I should remove that pella from my to-do list after all these great remixes of it.

Thanks Sub! Please don’t scratch this pell from your to-do list. If anything is going to wipe us mere mortals from the face of the earth its Loveshadow’s latest offering!

Yes you did take this a different direction. I think this is one of those pellas that everyone is gonna have a go at it.
I love your music for this, but my only pick ( and it’s just my own opinion ) I think the vocals are a bit too laid back for this.

Thanks dude.
“I think the vocals are a bit too laid back for this”. I agree 100%!
Did you ever hear some of the short lived rock chic bands of the nineties, where the front girl grew up on Whitney but her boyfriend on the bass (with the fresh tats and faux dreds) was trying to morph her into a over darkened Alanis Morriset? No reflection and much respect to Rebecca’s vox but this is what I was aiming to achieve with this mix. I can’t hope to compete with you guys working the hand plane for smoothness so I had to make a feature of the rough edges & splinters.
Can’t wait for her to post some more gems.
Happy Holidays to you too Mr Lang!

hey, it’s OK to be different (repeat 10 times and turnaround twice). this is brilliant. concept to samples to mix and damn it, just plain virtual fun. don’t change a hair for me.

Cheers Panu. I’m dizzy enough already so I’ll skip the tornado toe spins for now. I hear Moonwalks are acceptable at some venues these days…

Very cool unexpected approach on this pella. Have heard today three very different ones, every one has it_s beauty but this is for sure unexpected and so well executed.
Great work! (Rock on!):-)

Thats the great thing about this site, I really don’t want to quote Forrest Gump but its “like a box of chocolates…” Some have hard briitle centers that threaten to break your teeth, others explode in your mouth and disappear in a fleeting moment.
Thanks Joe

Hell yeah… This rocks. Loved the school hall intro by the way :-)

Its great to hear all the different ways peeps have approached this pella… didn’t expect someone would take on the rock approach, but it works well…

In the words of my friend tony the tiger… ggggrrreeeeaaat

If I reply to you again Mr Altham, you will think I’m stalking you and I’ll get detention on Friday afternoon.

Thanks spinmeister (or sorry if that helps).
My “high school musical” years had about the same level of feedback (as in the mix) with added wedgies behind the sheds afterwards.
Thankfully it all faded when I got my first kiss from the art teacher …she’s still as hot has her naked portrait in 1980.

Whew …I needed that after the last offering of yours I listened to. That was a lot of fun, aided by the really sharp production and “dramatic” touches, ahem ;-).

You’ve got a broad range of emotive sensibilities, rare amongst musicians, I think. I shall follow your offerings with interest. Nice work Scomber.

Thanks Essesq. I do have a lighter side; now and then. Some would say I’m not that sensible though ;(

Haha..I never did get to write a review for this mix! I absolutely love the beginning …and then when it started I definitely wanted to rock out. I think it was hard for me to visualize at first where you were going with the rhythm and the vocals but then after I saw your comment about growing up on whitney and getting together with a bass player I understood and love this mix now!! Good job giving the vocals with the song an out of the box feel.
